Basic Acrobatics An introduction to the building blocks of acrobatics; handstands, bridges and cartwheels, and leads to the beginnings of front and back handsprings.
Time: Wednesdays 8 – 9:30pm
Students train in this class until they are approved to advance by the instructor.
Intermediate Acrobatics Once students have mastered the building blocks of acrobatics, they are invited to advance to the intermediate class where they will focus on building combinations and continuing to build on the basic skills.
Time: Mondays 6:30 - 9pm
Students are only permitted to join this class by invitation or by passing an assessment
Hand Balancing/Partner Acrobatics This class in hand balancing focuses on partner acrobatics, with an emphasis on refining balance, creative movement and safety in partner work.
Time: Wednesdays 6:30 – 8:00
No experience (or partner!) is required! This class combines different levels.
Handstands Handstands are the basis of acrobatic and physical circus training. This class works on building the balance and strength to maintain a handstand through flexibility, core work and strength training.
Time: Mondays 8 - 9pm
No previous experience is necessary.
Cyr Wheel. This class introduces students to the use of this circus apparatus that allows for the performance of countless acrobatic moves inside the wheel. Students will work on basic manipulation of the wheel as well as strength, flexibility and basic acrobatics to build towards learning simple and more challenging moves in the wheel.
Time: Thursdays 8 - 9:30pm
No previous experience is necessary, but an acrobatic background is beneficial.
