TEACHERS

Our teachers are highly experienced circus professionals who have performed nationally and internationally. With years of experience as teachers working with youth, adults, and in our social outreach programs, we’re all looking forward to another session of summer camps.

We have a teacher/student ratio of 1/6 so we can give students the attention they need. We’ll be outside whenever the weather is cooperative and inside our large, professionally equipped gym at other times.

LUNCHES & SNACKS:

We DO NOT provide this. Please ensure that you pack plenty of food, snacks, and a water bottle for your kiddos. We have a snack break in the morning and afternoon so please pack healthy snacks to keep the energy up!

CLOTHING:

We recommend leggings and a tight t-shirt. They will be going upside down sometimes, so we want to make sure everyone is comfortable. Jeans are NOT an appropriate article of clothing, please do not send your child with jeans. We also ask that no sharp bits (belts, sharp pointed decorations, etc) be present on clothing. It damages expensive equipment and can also be harmful to their own body (ouch!).

Footwear: Barefoot or sockfoot is best however some student may want to wear ballet slippers or similar for non-aerial activities. If students are not comfortable being barefoot ever, we highly suggest socks with grips on the bottom (such as the get-air style socks).

No special items need to be purchased - if you’re unsure, just ask us!

OUTDOORS:

We will be outdoors in the courtyard whenever it is nice enough to do so during our breaks. We will also be taking trips to a nearby park for some outdoor activities or lunch.

Please send your child with any weather appropriate apparel they might need for outdoor activities !

Drop-Off & Pick-Up:

Camp is from 9-4pm. Students should arrive and depart at this time.

Students must have a signed letter from parents if they are leaving with another parent or will be taking public transit/ walking home. This must be a physical letter at the beginning of the day or week, as the staff on sight may not have access to Halifax Circus email/ answering machine at all times of the day.

end of the week show:

At the end of your summer camp week, the kiddos will be putting on a little presentation for you to show you what they have learned! This will occur on the Friday at 3:00pm.

This is a low-pressure event and will be casual! Feel free to bring family or close friends. This is a great time to find out all of the fun activities that happened all week!
